Y Society Loves the Soul Samples

Its not that often that you hear rappers using soul samples any more. I really like the effect though, and when its combined with solid technique, and good lyrics you get some great rap. Thats exactly what Y Society (Insight and Damu) does. Even though they haven’t come out with a full album since 2007s Travel at Your Own Pace (which rules), Damu is out with a new album ‘Supply for Demand’, and Y Society’s song ‘Don’t Do It’ nails the feel I’m looking for. Check the video on the other side.
