A week is a long time…

In Canada, Celebrate Your Scene, Choice Cuts, Montréal, New England on February 28, 2011 at 3:22 pm

Not to post anything, that is. So here we are. Back from our respective ‘reading breaks’ and ready to bring you all the goods. We’re just gonna dive right in with a ‘what you (may have) missed while we were gone’ post. A few hints: Silly Kissers, Sean Nicholas Savage, Armen at the Bazaar, Four Eyes, and then some upcoming show goodness.

SILLY KISSERS BRING US THE GOODS (FOR FREE!)

Have just put their back catalogue up for download on the Arbutus site. This is your chance to get all the Silly Kissers you always dreamed of having but financial impairment was holding you back. Be held back no more! Get three  of their releases, including their 2007 debut Silly Kissers, then 2009’s dual releases of Love Tsunami and most recently Halloween Summer. Precious Necklace is still gonna cost ya, but trust me it’s worth every penny. ‘Halloween Summer’ (along with just about every song in their musical history) will just never get old. Enjoy it below and be sure to catch them this coming 10th, 11th, and 12th of March in Toronto with Sean Nicholas Savage and others.

SEAN NICHOLAS SAVAGE’S NEWEST RELEASE – TRIPPPLE MIDNIGHT KARMA – COMING OUT MARCH 1ST!

That basically says it all. It’s Sean Nicholas Savage so it’s going to be good. Preview some new songs which will be released on Trippple Midnight Karma. You can catch him May 12th with Moonface at Il Motore, and I’m sure we can expect another awesome album release show when this drops March 1st.

NEW LEACOCK’S AND TVMCGILL SESSIONS FEATURES ARMEN AT THE BAZAAR

Check out the excellent new Sessions with Armen at the Bazaar, who’s been impressing and engaging audiences (myself very much included) for a while now.

FOUR EYES PUT OUT NEW SEVEN INCH

And it ruules. It’s called Towards The End Of Cosmic LonelinessRemember how good their first seven inch was? Well if this isn’t better, it’s at least as good. You can (and should!) pick up a physical copy from Puzzle Pieces Records, who are also kind enough to allow people to download the record freee of charge right here. I was just tipped off to a sweet video of them playing in Allston, Massachusetts recently. It’s 18 minutes and they play something like 8 songs, so just do the math there. It looks like a great show and all the more evidence that they need to come to Montreal.
